You voted, so I delivered! In this episode, I go in-depth on Chuck Pagano. Who is he? What’s his background? Will he be good for the Bears? I make sure to list both positives and negatives in search of the truth. [2:00-10:30]I unveil a surprising comparison I’ve found while investigating and detail what it means for Pagano’s upcoming Bears tenure. [10:30-16:50]I discuss Monday’s biggest Bears news: Mitchell Trubisky is officially headed to the Pro Bowl. I mull over what this experience may mean for him and every other Bear participating in the festivities. [16:50-21:00]I then review each of this weekend’s championship games in detail, starting with Rams-Saints [21:00-25:30] and finishing with Patriots-Chiefs. [25:30-29:30]Give it a listen and let me know what you think! Also, following a fairly hefty Twitter vote on Sunday night, I’ll be moving this show’s “air-date” to Monday mornings at 8AM. The heart behind this change is to both fully embrace being a “week-in-review” show and to give you something to start your week off with. Bear down, and thanks so much for Bearing With Me! NFL rushing leader Todd Gurley of the Los Angeles Rams is inactive for Sunday’s home regular-season finale against the San Francisco 49ers. Gurley will finish the regular season with 1,305 yards rushing. Also resting for the playoffs are center John Sullivan, left tackle Andrew Whitworth and defensive tackle Aaron Donald. The Rams clinched the NFC West title last weekend and first-year coach Sean McVay is opting to rest several of his stars. Quarterback Jared Goff is expected to get the day off but is active as the backup to Sean Mannion, who will make his first career start. Carolina running back Jonathan Stewart is inactive for the first time this season against Atlanta. Stewart had seen a diminished role the past two weeks. He had only seven carries for 19 yards in last week’s win over Tampa Bay, but was still listed as the Panthers’ starter. Stewart’s exit leaves Christian McCaffrey as the probable starter. Jacksonville is locked in as the third seed in the AFC, but is sitting only two starters against Tennessee: left tackle Cam Robinson, who left last week’s game with an abdominal strain, and receiver Marqise Lee (ankle). Derrick Henry is getting the first start of his two-year NFL career with DeMarco Murray scratched for the first time since joining the Titans. Murray is out with an injured right knee. Denver running back Jamaal Charles will sit out against Kansas City, his former team. Charles was a four-time Pro Bowler with the Chiefs, but never found a groove with the Broncos this season. His past month reads like this: No carries in two games, inactive for two games. Rookie quarterback Patrick Mahomes will start for Kansas City in place of Alex Smith. Whether it was the change of scenery or a player who simply needed a year to adjust to the league, Hester played much better for the Eagles as an NFL sophomore than he did during his rookie season for the Oakland Raiders. As a rookie, Hester graded out as the 63rd-best interior defender out of 131 players who logged at least 200 defensive snaps. During his second season, he graded out at 13th out of 129. As a pass rusher, his win rate jumped from 6.6% to 13.2% from Year 1 to Year 2, and his average depth of tackle in run defense dropped from 2.62 yards to 1.44 yards. Are Eagles eyeing any 2019 NFL Supplemental Draft targets? - BGNThompson makes sense for the Eagles’ secondary room in that he’s a Maddox-like player. Nickel coverage primarily, but could provide some safety/switch versatility given his range of experiences in college. The Eagles are still looking for a young safety to develop behind Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod — and if Thompson is that guy, they could cut Andrew Sendejo and return the comp pick he’s currently blocking. Thompson would likely cost a 4th or 5th-round selection. Jim Schwartz is a disciple of the Buddy Ryan coaching tree and those guys wanted their defenses to make plays. It is surprising that the Eagles out-performed the Cowboys in so many categories when you think about how banged up the Philly secondary was. Rookie Avonte Maddox had two INTs for the Eagles in less than a full season. That total would have tied for the team lead in Dallas. Schwartz and his staff preach the importance of takeaways. They make that a focal point of gameplans. Rod Marinelli has been on some teams that came up with a ton of takeaways, but you wonder how much of that was scheme and how much just individual talent. Asomugha signed a 5-year, $60M contract with the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2011. And heck, considering his status as a three time Pro Bowler and two time All-Pro defender (all in the three seasons prior to leaving Oakland, no less), who could blame them? Asomugha faced only 87 pass attempts in his final three seasons with the Raiders, he was considered a bona-fide stud. There’s just one *little* problem here. Asomugha was a press man defender who thrived beating up receivers early on in reps and riding them out from there. The Eagles? They asked him to play in space. The “Dream Team” of 2011 lived up to their name with this signing -- because you’d have to be dreaming to think that kind of transition after 8 years of press man would work.Who Is the Best Wide Receiver in the NFL? - The RingerThere may be more receiving talent in the league than ever, and five players have a claim to be the best at their craft. Malcolm Jenkins - Philadelphia Eagles2018 Stats: 63 Tgts - 48 Recs | 481 yds - 3 TD - 1 INT | 106.6 Coverage Rating | 5 PressuresPFF Grade: 79.2Key Stat: Led NFL safeties with 230 coverage snaps taken from slot.Seeing Jenkins at the top of this list should be a surprise to no one. Not only has he been a reliable veteran presence for the Philadelphia defense on the field, but he has been a community leader and vocal activist off the field. Jenkins is not only one of the best safeties in the division (148 snaps), but also one of the top slot cornerbacks (362 snaps), linebackers (513 snaps), and special teamers (157 snaps) in the division. He is the NFL version of a renaissance man and is truly a rare breed of player. With two more years left on his contract, Jenkins isn’t going anywhere soon.2. Landon Collins - Washington2018 Stats: 43 Tgts - 33 Recs | 397 yds - 3 TD - 0 INT | 127.8 Coverage Rating | 5 PressuresPFF Grade: 70.4Key Stat: Accounted for 7.2% of run stops when on the field (ranks 3rd among safeties). When I first read that Collins was traded, my first thought was “well there goes a great talent from a divisional rival.” My second thought? Let’s just say it wasn’t a family-friendly word. While my opinions on the strategy of the Giants’ “rebuild” is likely worthy of its own article, let’s just say that I vehemently disagree with letting Collins walk. Him signing with a divisional rival is exactly what the Giants deserve. With approximately 60% of his snaps taken from the box http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-corey-clement-jersey , I have always thought of Collins as a glorified linebacker. His presence is predominately seen by opposing offensive lineman, tight ends, and running backs as he generally a terror in the running game. His coverage skills are among the worst in the division, but his impact on the game is among the highest. While I wouldn’t take Collins over Jenkins, I’d probably start him over just about any other safety in this division.3. Jabrill Peppers- New York Giants2018 Stats: 35 Tgts - 24 Recs | 249 yds - 5 TD - 1 INT | 116.5 Coverage Rating | 12 PressuresPFF Grade: 77.6Key Stat: 67 Pass Rush Snaps were 2nd most by an NFL Safety last yearSpeaking of dumb moves that the Giants made, a separate one resulted in Peppers joining up with the New York Giants. While I like Jabrill Peppers, I think of him as a poor mans Landon Collins of sorts. He was used as a pass rusher quite frequently by the Browns (15% of passing snaps) and was fairly effective in that area registering 12 QB pressures. His coverage could use some work, but at the age of just 23 years old, it’s safe to say Peppers has plenty of growing to do. If I was a Giants fan, I’d be excited about Peppers’ future, even if he will always be linked to the loss of Odell Beckham Jr. 4. Rodney McLeod - Philadelphia Eagles2017 Stats: 16 Tgts - 13 Recs | 218 yds - 0 TD - 3 INT | 79.2 Coverage Rating | 2 Pressures2017 PFF Grade: 74.0Key Stat: Missed most of 2018 with a knee injuryWhen McLeod plays, he is usually a pretty solid player for the Eagles. He is infrequently targeted (approx. 1 reception for every 40 passing plays in 2017) and generally plays very well in coverage when he is thrown at. When I wrote about McLeod last year for the EaglesWire I commented on how his tackling abilities have been known to be suspect. If he can improve upon this, I think his potential as a traditional deep safety has a sky-high limit. 5. Xavier Woods - Dallas Cowboys2018 Stats: 25 Tgts - 17 Recs | 144 yds - 1 TD - 2 INT | 62.8 Coverage Rating | 0 PressuresPFF Grade: 70.5Key Stat: 62.8 Coverage Rating ranked 4th among qualified NFC East defensive backsIf Peppers is a poor mans Collins, Xavier Woods is somewhat a poor mans Rodney McLeod. He also excels in coverage and needs improvement in his tackling ability. He is also used as a traditional free safety in Dallas and seems to be a solid young player who could develop into a pro bowl player for the Cowboys.6. Antoine Bethea - New York Giants2018 Stats: 47 Tgts - 35 Recs | 242 yds - 2 TD - 0 INT | 99.8 Coverage Rating | 12 PressuresPFF Grade: 64.6Key Stat: Led NFL safeties with 54 tackles in the running game. The Giants appear to have taken a play from the Howie Roseman Guide to Team Management by signing Bethea this offseason. The (then) 33-year-old safety seemed to play much better than you’d think a 33-year-old safety could play last year for the Cardinals, however, that old age magic can only last so long (just ask your father). If I was a Giants fan, which I’m not Womens DeSean Jackson Jersey , I’d be pretty concerned about the fact that Bethea and Peppers both play the same style as Landon Collins did. While generally speaking, the concept of replacing something of greater value with two things of lesser value is a plausible path to take, on an NFL roster where only 1 box safety should be on the field at a time, this mentality is not going to work very well. My guess is that Bethea and Peppers will rotate while the Giants draft someone to start opposite of them. Good stuff, New York. Good stuff. 7. Jeff Heath - Dallas Cowboys2018 Stats: 49 Tgts - 38 Recs | 393 yds - 2 TD - 1 INT | 105.2 Coverage Rating | 2 PressuresPFF Grade: 56.6 Key Stat: Led NFL safeties with 13 missed tackles in the running game.Where the Giants have two box safeties rostered, the Cowboys have quite the opposite. Heath, like Xavier Woods, is a much better cover man than he is a quasi-linebacker. He is a terrible tackler and has generated just 9 quarterback pressures over 6 NFL seasons. His career Coverage Rating of 94.7 is decent, though not great, the fact that 75% of throws coming his way have been caught says a lot about his abilities. Heath is a fairly pedestrian player on a fairly pedestrian team. 8. Deshazor Everett - Washington Redskins2018 Stats: 7 Tgts - 6 Recs | 52 yds - 0 TD - 1 INT | 58.0 Coverage Rating | 0 PressuresPFF Grade: 64.4 (unqualified)Key Stat: 72% of snaps taken on special teams plays in 2018.Everett is about to be given his first real opportunity to be a starter in Washington, and fortunately for him, he’ll be playing alongside Landon Collins. With a 61% career reception percentage allowed and a career coverage rating of 78.4, I think it’s possible we see Everett slide up this list come 2020. ConclusionSafety has always been my favorite NFL position (thank you Brian Dawkins) and its always fun to evaluate the great safeties of the game. All in all, there is some very good talent on the back end of the NFC East secondaries and it should be fun to watch Dak Prescott, Eli Manning, and [insert starting Washington quarterback here] get embarrassed by them. Up next we will move along the outside of the field and cover the CBs of the NFC East. Thanks to Pro Football Focus for all statistics involved in this article.

“Yes” Cam Robinson Jersey , the Jaguars are sticking with quarterback Nick Foles the rest of the way Jacksonville Jaguars (4-6) head coach Doug Marrone said after the team’s 33-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts (6-4) at Lucas Oil Stadium. A question that had to be asked after Foles stumbled in his first game back from a week-one collarbone injury. Although the veteran quarterback had a respectable — albeit misleading — final stat line, completing 33 out of 47 of his passes for 296 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, Foles, the Jaguars offense could not get anything going for the majority of the day. Foles Next Gen passing charthttps://nextgenstats.nfl.com/charts...66/2019/11/pass“It’s my first game with him playing a full game. So I’ll just take a good look at it, and talk to him about it and see where he is,” Marrone said when asked about the up-and-down play out of his quarterback. “I think just look at the overall thing of the game I thought they did a nice job, they got their hands on some balls and their underneath guys.” Foles had multiple passes tipped or nearly intercepted on the day. After starting the game five of six for 72 yards and a touchdown to receiver DJ Chark Jr., Foles and the Jaguars’ offense would only net 81 total offensive yards in the second and third quarter combined. Never finding any rhythm, the Jaguar offense stuck with the passing game for the majority of the game — a puzzling development. With a pass-run ratio of 47-9, Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette finished the game with just eight carries for 23 yards on the day with the team ultimately running the ball justnine times on the day. Failing to establish a ground game Marrone hesitated to make any excuses for the team’s lack of rushing attempts only to explain he felt the team was “comfortable throwing the football and it didn’t work.”The Jaguars’ head coach took the blame for their poor play on Sunday as he did after their week nine loss against the Houston Texans. “I told the team, ‘we practice well, we prepare well, we don’t perform well and that’s on me’. I’m responsible for penalties, I’m responsible for the way the team plays, I’m responsible for how they get ready to play on Sunday and I’ve got to do a better job of getting this team ready to go.”The Jaguars entered their week 11 matchup against the Colts the healthiest they’ve been all season with only one player — tight end Seth DeValve — listed on the injury report on Friday. None of that mattered as the team’s play was abysmal, and effort was questionable at best. The team’s lifeless effort wouldn’t end with the offense however http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-myles-jack-jersey , as the Jaguars’ defense performed about as poorly as one would expect a perpetually losing team to do. The Jaguars allowed two 100-yard rushers on the day in Colts’ running backs Marlon Mack (109 yards) and Jonathan Williams (116 yards). In the end, the team had no answers for the Colts’ run game, and their poor effort in tackling — along with gap-fitting — was obvious.A solution for the run defense is no where in sight as Jaguars’ head coach Doug Marrone said after the game the team “tried everything.” “You look at it whether it’s missed tackles, whether out of gas, whether we’re not spilling things. Pretty much when a team rushes for that many yards it’s not gonna be one thing, it’s gonna be multiple things and you can never get it -- it seems like we could never -- getting it stopped.”Over the past two games, the Jaguars defense has allowed 480 rushing yards including 264 yards today against the Colts. The Jaguars went into halftime down just three points and plenty of reasons to feel both sides of the football would pick up in play, however that never occurred. The game-determining drive would come in the third quarter on the Colts’ first drive out of halftime. After getting the Colts into a third-and-19 situation the Jaguars’ defense allowed a 31-yard screen pass which Marrone explained simply the Colts, “wound up blocking us and getting in lanes and we couldn’t get enough people to it to make a play.”Following the first down, the Colts were able to have gains of 17 and 20 yards. The Colts would go on to score on a one-yard touchdown pass from Jacoby Brissett to receiver Marcus Johnson — a drive which illustrated the struggles the team has had on defense throughout the game. The Jaguars’ playoff hopes are technically not dead yet, but they might as well be. In what was a must-win game for the good guys, they failed to capitalize on the opportunity presented to them. Jacksonville finds itself in a similar situation as they have for several years now. Identity searching and cherishing moral victories on the way to a disappointing finale. The search will continue when the team ventures on to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans (5-5). The Jaguars have not won in Nashville since 2013, and will need all facets of the game to improve if they want the opportunity to erase an embarrassment. Postgame Quotes: Nick Foles on his play: “I’ve got to play better, absolutely. We lost. That’s ultimately a lot on the quarterback so I have to watch the film and improve on things that I can improve on to obviously put more points on the board. That’s on me. I will do that. I’m going to go watch the film and be critical of it and improve. We’re going to communicate with one another and we’re going to go back to work.”Nick Foles on what leadership team needs: “I think the big thing is don’t press. I think it’s easy to press in this situation and think the sky is falling and the world is over. It’s not. We’re blessed to play a game. The big thing for the guys right now is go home. You have a family at home. You have a wife, go love her and go be with her. If you have kids, go be with your kids. That’s part of life. And like I said, leadership will come from everybody because it will be looking at the film being critical of yourself (and) then going out there and improving. There will be some guys who will probably be more vocal than others. I think the big thing is we can’t press. We are 4-6. That is the situation. But, we can’t win six games at once. We’re going to have our opportunity to look at this game Womens Yannick Ngakoue Jersey , improve on this game next week and then we’re going to prepare for the next game. It’s as simple as that.”Calais Campbell on run defense: “Today it was definitely tackling, but there was some assignment stuff too by all of us. It’s the game of football. Those guys get paid too and they made some incredible plays. It’s something we have to work on (and) something we have been working on but just continue to develop that mentality that we make sure teams are not going to run on us. We understand when we stop the run we are a tough team to beat, but when teams run like that today we’re going to lose. No ifs, ands or buts about it. We can’t let them run like they did today and expect to win ball games.” Jaguars coach Doug Marrone believes quarterback Nick Foles gives the team "a better chance of winning right now."Marrone announced Tuesday he will start Foles over rookie sensation Gardner Minshew "going forward." He made the decision during the team's bye week, saying Foles is ready to return from a broken left collarbone and will start next week at Indianapolis."For me, it was looking back at all the work we put in," Marrone said. "I just go back to the experience and what he's going to be able to do. I think that's going to give us the ability, a better chance of winning right now."Marrone told both players before a team meeting. Players were not available to the media afterward. Marrone said Minshew took the news like "a competitor.""When I say someone's a competitor and they hear something like that, I think everyone can figure that out," Marrone said.Foles was injured while throwing a 35-yard touchdown pass to DJ Chark on the second series of the team's season opener. Minshew replaced him and went 4-4 as the starter, throwing for 2,285 yards, with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also ran for 235 yards but has lost seven of an NFL-leading 11 fumbles."What he's done, he's done a great job," Marrone said. "I feel a whole different about him now than I did prior to him playing, in a very positive way. We took some things and had some discussions on things that we're going to work on going forward, which will give him the ability to be a player in this league for a long time. I really believe that."Minshew was a sixth-round draft pick from Washington State and became a fan favorite by giving the Jaguars a chance in nearly every game. His 1970s look — he rocks a groovy headband, an unkempt mustache DJ Chark Jersey , jean shorts and throwback T-shirts — is as much a part of his engaging persona as stories that range from pre-game stretching while wearing only a jock strap to trying to break his hand during college in hopes of earning an extra year of eligibility. But most everyone expected the Jaguars to go back to Foles, a former Super Bowl MVP who signed a four-year, $88 million contract to leave Philadelphia in March.Minshew looked more like a rookie than a savvy vet in three of Jacksonville's last four games. He was jittery in the pocket and mostly inept in the red zone.He led the Jags to a mere field goal in a 26-3 drubbing by Houston in London on Sunday. He threw for 309 yards, most of them in garbage time. The other numbers were more telling: 27 of 47. Two interceptions. Two lost fumbles. A number of off-target throws. Passer rating of 59.6, his second-lowest of the season.Marrone said he tried to ignore Minshew's performance across the pond while making his choice."I tried to take that out and put it as a body of work, and that's what I did," Marrone said. "I think that's important. I think emotions can run sometimes differently, so I looked at the body of work."Jacksonville waived another former Super Bowl MVP, former Seattle linebacker Malcolm Smith, to make room for Foles on the 53-man roster. Foles, who led the Eagles to four playoff victories over the last two seasons, returned to practice two weeks ago and was officially activated from injured reserve Tuesday."We've progressively brought him back into drills and brought him into some high-speed, close-quarter rushing, where guys were coming at him, blitzes where people were coming free," Marrone said. "We felt like we did the best job to make sure that he was in position to be ready once he was healthy."

from releasing the full 2019 schedule Womens Richard Dent Jersey , but bits and pieces are coming out.One piece: The traditional Detroit and Dallas Thanksgiving games will be the Bears against the Lions and the Dolphins against the Cowboys, according to .This would make it the second straight year that the Lions host the Bears on Thanksgiving, and it would be a continuation of one of the NFL’s oldest rivalries. It would be the Dolphins’ sixth Thanksgiving visit to Dallas; they’ve previously been there on Thanksgiving in 1973, 1993, 1999, 2003 and 2011. The 1993 Dolphins-Cowboys Thanksgiving game is one of the most famous Thanksgiving games in NFL history, with the Dolphins winning on a last-second field goal after Cowboys defensive lineman Leon Lett fumbled the game away by muffing a blocked field goal. It’s the NFL’s 100th season Dan Hampton Jersey , and the league is attempting to highlight matchups with historical significance, so it’s no surprise that an old rivalry like Bears-Lions and a Thanksgiving matchup with some tradition behind it like Dolphins-Cowboys would be on the schedule. There’s no word yet on what the third Thanksgiving game, on NBC in prime time, will be. LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy understands the temptation to compare, given the way his present and past quarterbacks are performing.Mitchell Trubisky and Patrick Mahomes were top 10 selections in the same class and the first two QBs drafted in 2017.But while Trubisky — the No. 2 overall pick that year — has turned in two shaky performances for Chicago this season, Mahomes has been lighting it up for Kansas City.“Well http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-brian-urlacher-jersey , what’s fair to compare is you have one, in Patrick, who has had a full year in this offense to understand it,” Nagy said.“Now, regardless of playing in it, he’s had a full year, more than a year to sit behind it and learn and understand and watch tape with those quarterbacks last year and get to see all the talk Womens Leonard Floyd Jersey , all the discussions of where you go on this play and that play, whereas Mitchell hasn’t had that. He’s being forced into this thing right away, and so that’s where these growing pains are going to occur.”Nagy spoke Tuesday, a day after the Bears beat the Seattle Seahawks to give their coach his first career victory.Trubisky threw touchdown passes on Chicago’s first possession and early in the fourth quarter, but got intercepted two times by Shaquill Griffin. The offense stalled for large portions of the game, and a defense led by Khalil Mack carried Chicago, sacking Russell Wilson six times. That allowed the Bears to leave Soldier Field with a good feeling after they blew a 20-point lead in a season-opening loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in Green Bay.“I’m trying to get over just dwelling on plays too much Eric Kush Jersey ,” Trubisky said. “I think it’s hurt me more than it’s helped me.“So getting over plays and just building on what I did good and forgetting about what I did bad and continuing to improve and get better and learn this offense and Coach keeps saying, it is going to be a process. We want immediate results, but finding ways to win is very important and we did that.”But it sure would help if Trubisky started emerging as the franchise quarterback the Bears envisioned him becoming when they traded up a spot with San Francisco to draft him.The organization figured it would take time and was planning to have him mostly watch from the sideline last season with Mike Glennon starting.Of course, it didn’t work out that way. Glennon struggled through four games before Trubisky replaced him as the starter. The Bears then spent much of the offseason building around him by hiring an offensive-minded head coach and giving him some new options — most notably signing former Pro Bowl receiver Allen Robinson away from Jacksonville. But through two games, Trubisky has plenty of room to improve.Trubisky has an 80.0 rating, with a pair of touchdown passes and as many interceptions. Compare that to Mahomes with a 143.3 rating and a league-leading 10 touchdowns with no interceptions.Or maybe don’t compare. The fact that Mahomes has a year in the Chiefs’ system and isn’t learning a new offense again isn’t the only difference. He also got what basically amounted to his redshirt year, sitting behind Alex Smith last season.“It’s easy to compare two people because they were drafted in the same draft http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-roquan-smith-jersey , top 10, one ahead of the other,” Nagy said. “So those comparisons are easy. But what’s real behind that is what I just said. You have one guy that has had plenty of time now to learn it.”In the opener against the Packers, Trubisky at times was quick to scramble and abandon plays rather than stay in the pocket. He also couldn’t lead the Bears past midfield in the closing minutes when they needed to get into field-goal range.Trubisky thought he did a better job staying in the pocket on Monday night.“O-line did a fantastic job all night giving me time when I needed it and just finding those receivers, but they got a good scheme on their side,” he said.

.But they loved the call. The decision by Titans coach Mike Vrabel to go for a go-ahead 2-point conversion against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday doomed Tennessee (3-4) to a third straight loss when Marcus Mariota's pass to Taywan Taylor was tipped by safety Adrian Phillips in the end zone. With the score 20-19 after Mariota threw a touchdown pass to Luke Stocker on fourth down with 31 seconds left Casey Hayward Jersey , Vrabel had the option of playing it safe and heading for overtime by kicking an extra point. But there was no doubt in his players' minds that he was right to go for the win."I love the call, everyone in this locker room loved the call," wide receiver Tajae Sharpe said. "We wanted to be aggressive no matter what, and that's what we did. Unfortunately it just didn't go our way."Vrabel's decision is likely to be second-guessed outside the Titans' locker room, though, especially after the element of surprise disappeared when Tennessee's first attempt at the 2-point conversion was negated by a defensive holding penalty. The momentum was also in the Titans' favor as they had rallied from an 11-point deficit in the second half and had largely managed to control the Chargers' high-powered offense aside from two long touchdown passes by Philip Rivers.Vrabel said playing with a banged-up offensive line after right guard Josh Kline limped off during the final drive was "a consideration" when making the call. Although he also said he had already made the decision before Kline's injury."When that drive started I thought in my mind that if we scored http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-melvin-ingram-jersey , when we scored, and it was less than 40 seconds we were going to go for 2 and win the game," Vrabel said."If it was a minute and 30 (seconds), we kick the extra point and we go and play defense. ... I got a lot of faith in my players converting third downs and converting those situations. Marcus was doing everything we needed to do to keep the plans alive. So I'm not going to second-guess the call. It just didn't work out."Mariota finished with 237 yards passing and one touchdown, but also regretted an interception thrown from the Chargers 10-yard line on a play that began with 39 seconds left in the first half. A touchdown would have put Tennesee ahead 13-10 at halftime, but they instead found themselves trailing 17-6 after Rivers hit Mike Williams on a 55-yard touchdown pass on the opening drive of the second half.Rivers also threw a 75-yard score to Tyrell Williams on the Chargers' first play from scrimmage as Los Angeles came up with the big plays that eluded Tennesee.Like Sharpe Womens Junior Seau Jersey , though, Mariota defended Vrabel's decision to go for 2."I love that he has confidence in us to go make that. We just didn't execute," Mariota said. "I should've done a better job maybe extending the play, knowing it was the last play. There's definitely more I wish I could've done. But that being said, they did a good job of covering it." Mike Windt‘s long run as the Chargers long snapper has come to an end.The Chargers announced Windt’s release on Tuesday. He joined the team in 2010 and appeared in 132 regular season games with the team since coming aboard. Windt also did the long snapping in four postseason games.“While long snapper is often an overlooked position, Mike’s dependability and consistent performance was always heavily valued by coaches and teammates alike Doug Flutie Jersey ,” General Manager Tom Telesco said in a statement. “On behalf of everyone in our organization, I want to thank Mike for all the contributions he made, both on and off the field, during his nine-year career with the Chargers.”Cole Mazza is now the only long snapper on the roster. He spent four years at Alabama and played for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football earlier this year.

Joe Douglas stepped to the podium with a big smile — and plenty of pressure. The new general manager of the New York Jets is a burly, bearded symbol of hope for a franchise desperate to find its way back to respectability. The 42-year-old Douglas paid his dues for years as an assistant in the front offices in Baltimore, Chicago and Philadelphia. He's now the main man for the first time, and he assured Jets fans that he's more than up to the task."You're getting a general manager that is a relentless worker," Douglas said Tuesday during his introductory news conference at the team's facility. "Someone that understands a winning culture. Someone that is going to strive to put a product on the field each Sunday that competes for greatness and that I hope will make you proud." Douglas' hiring last Friday night marked the end of a tumultuous offseason stretch for the Jets Womens Nate Gerry Jersey , who stunningly fired Mike Maccagnan last month — only weeks after he oversaw the team's draft, spent big bucks in free agency and played a key role in hiring Adam Gase as coach to replace Todd Bowles. The timing was odd, and the Jets were criticized by some for appearing to lack focus and direction. Now, they have Douglas and Gase, who built what the GM called "a special bond" during a stint with the Bears and can't wait to turn things around in New York. The Jets haven't made the playoffs since the 2010 season, when Mike Tannenbaum was the GM and Rex Ryan the coach. New York is now on its third GM and second coach since the franchise finished one win away from getting to the Super Bowl — in which it hasn't appeared since 1969."Simply stated, Joe is the right person at the right time who our fan base will get to know and love," team chairman and CEO Christopher Johnson said. "I feel that we now have the right people in charge of our football operations."Douglas didn't make any bold proclamations or flashy guarantees, but acknowledged he's stepping into a unique situation — mainly because he's already got a franchise quarterback in Sam Darnold leading the way."There's a lot of exciting pieces on this roster," Douglas said, pointing out linebacker C.J. Mosley and running back Le'Veon Bell. "But it starts and stops with quarterbacks. It's the most important position in all of professional sports."Darnold is entering his second NFL season and coming off an impressive season-ending stretch during which he threw six touchdown passes and just one interception while completing 64% of his throws in his final four games."I'll say this: Building around a young quarterback, there was a sense of urgency in Philadelphia," Douglas said, referring to the Eagles' Carson Wentz. "We had a young quarterback and we wanted to put the pieces around him."I think there's going to be that same urgency anywhere, but especially here with a young quarterback like Sam."Douglas will have control over the 53-man roster, and he and Gase will report directly to Johnson. The coach and GM aren't concerned about any perceived potential conflicts where they might not be on the same page — something that apparently caused some friction between Gase and Maccagnan, although both insisted that wasn't the case."We're both competitors," Gase said. "And we hate losing."Douglas and Gase spent only the 2015 season together in Chicago http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-wes-hopkins-jersey , but Douglas said he and Gase — then the Bears' offensive coordinator — clicked instantly and recognized that they shared similar philosophies on building a winning program."His evaluation skills are unbelievable," Gase said of Douglas. "Coaches trust him. Like, you don't hear the squabbles because he does such a great job of evaluating players."Gase, known for having a high-energy personality on and off the field, thinks there's already a comfort level between the two."He's such an easy guy to connect with," Gase said. "He probably likes my insanity a little bit."After Johnson told Gase last Friday night that he decided to hire Douglas, the coach quickly reached out to his old buddy — a few times."It was, 'When are you coming up? When are you coming up?'" Gase said.Douglas reiterated that he learned collaboration between the front office, scouts and coaches is the way to be successful, first in Baltimore under Ozzie Newsome and then in Philadelphia under Howie Roseman. There were reports that Douglas was going back-and-forth during the interview process, trying to decide whether to stay with the Eagles or join the Jets."I would say that if there were serious reservations, I wouldn't be here answering the questions that I'm answering," Douglas said. "We had the interview (last) Sunday and then had multiple discussions up until Friday night that led to me being here."Douglas said he would spend the rest of this week getting together with the coaching staff to go over the roster, check out the remaining practices and begin to put his front-office staff together. And then, they'll prepare for the season."This is a game of wills," Douglas said. "And we're going to try to build a team that can impose its will on other teams."

That’s certainly viable to believe, but take a step back and look at the way this staff who has overseen the undisciplined group has been constructed. Doug Marrone is a guy whom Tom Coughlin signed off on following the hiring process in January of 2017, specifically for his “no-nonsense” Coughlin-esque ways. Coughlin then played an intricate role in hiring Marrone’s supporting staff, signing off on keeping coordinators Nathaniel Hackett and Todd Wash from the previous regime and bringing on his former defensive coordinator Perry Fewell to coach the secondary, offensive line coach Pat Flaherty, and two of his former players in Tyrone Wheatley and Keenan McCardell to coach the runnning backs and receivers http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-myles-jack-jersey , respectively. So if Coughlin’s biggest push to owner Shad Khan to replace Marrone with himself is discipline, wouldn’t the first logical question be, “Aren’t these all your guys who have lost control of the room?”. What big difference would Coughlin bring that isn’t already in there, since Coughlin himself has been hands on in his approach since rejoining the team as EVP of Football Operations in 2017, and has planted his guys all throughout the staff? Then there’s the assessment Shad Khan would need to make in bringing on Coughlin as the head coach. It would be Khan basically agreeing that the guy who he brought on to be the top decision maker, did a crap job at signing off on the head coach and his hand-picked staff, so let’s see how he does leading the product on the field instead! Yeah, not a lot of sound logic there either. And sure, Coughlin certainly has the pedigree of two Super Bowl titles in the last 15 years, but the reason he was unceremoniously let go from the Giants was a tailspin collapse his last three seasons, going 7-9, 6-10, and 6-10 before finally being relieved of his duties as head coach. At 72 years old, that would be a hard sell to a ticket buying public that is quickly moving on from the “Coughlin nostalgia” following his second go-around with the Jaguars. At the end of the day, there are almost certainly going to be changes made to the front office and coaching staff within the next month. The staff here at BCC has heard certain names and details, but to this point cannot fully corroborate them, and thus will not report them as fact. One thing that is almost certainly not going to happen, however, is the first head coach in franchise history running out on the field to lead them for their 25th anniversary in 2019.

coach on the back of his work as an offensive assistant Sam Acho Jersey , but his record isn’t 1-0 because of the work done by his offense on Thursday night. The Packers defense held the Bears to 254 yards while sacking Mitchell Trubisky five times and intercepting him once in a 10-3 win at Soldier Field. The interception was made by safety Adrian Amos while Preston Smith had 1.5 sacks and Za'Darius Smith added another sack. All of those players were signed by General Manager Brian Gutekunst this offseason and LaFleur noted that activity while thanking the defense for bailing out an offense that was quiet outside of an impressive first half touchdown drive.“That defense was smothering,” LaFleur said, via Michael Silver of NFL Media. “It’s been awhile since a [Packers] defense came in saved the day. I’m so glad and thankful that Gutey invested in those guys. It was a great night for him, and for [defensive coordinator] Mike Pettine and our defensive staff . . . and our players, of course.”The Packers now head to Green Bay for three straight games and will host five of the next six contests. They’ll hope the offense makes strides, but will do so with confidence that the defense can hold its own while that unit finds its footing. LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — In an abbreviated draft for the Chicago Bears, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky appears to be the big winner. He’ll have three more potential offensive options.Bears general manager Ryan Pace had only five picks because of the trade for linebacker Khalil Mack last year. He used three of the first four on offensive players in hopes of bolstering an improved but inconsistent attack.“I think we’re always mindful of that,” Pace said Saturday. “The more weapons we can supply to the quarterback, or our coaches, the better.”After the Bears traded up to select running back David Montgomery in the third round Friday, they selected Georgia wide receiver Riley Ridley on Saturday in the fourth and Florida Atlantic running back/return man Kerrith Whyte Jr. in the seventh.“Really http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-devin-hester-jersey , with limited draft picks, I really feel like we maximized it,” Pace said. They didn’t ignore defense, selecting Kansas State cornerback Duke Shelley in round 6 and Valdosta State cornerback Stephen Denmark in the seventh round.Still, it was coach Matt Nagy’s offense where improvement was needed most. After all the trick plays and aggressive calls by Nagy, the Bears ranked only 21st both in passing and offensive yardage. So they didn’t hesitate to take Ridley, despite an already crowded receiver group.“To have a player of that caliber there and comfortably be able to take him was really a no-brainer because he was so high on our board,” Pace said. The Bears last year signed Allen Robinson II and Taylor Gabriel in free agency and drafted Anthony Miller and Javon Wims, then signed wide receivers Marvin Hall and Cordarrelle Patterson this year. They have several other receivers under contract, as well.Ridley has been trained for the job by his brother, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who was a first-round pick last year.“Watching him being able to snap down at the top of his routes Womens Danny Trevathan Jersey , route running is key in being a receiver,” Riley Ridley said. “Watching him, learning, and just wanting to be great for myself and my family, it paid off.”Montgomery will share time with Mike Davis and Tarik Cohen, and Nagy is eager to get him involved the passing game. The Bears had traded running back Jordan Howard to Philadelphia because he wasn’t as much of a receiving threat.“They’re weapons,” Nagy said. “In my opinion, they’re all weapons. They can play every down.”WHO THEY GOTMontgomery is a high-character back with a knack for breaking tackles. His running style has been compared to Kareem Hunt’s.“He’s the whole package,” Nagy said. “He has the hands. He’s a three-down back. He’s everything that we’re looking for.”Ridley’s fit is backup to starter Allen Robinson at outside receiver, and he’s considered a strong route runner with good leaping ability and balance.Whyte was backup to Buffalo Bills draft pick Devin Singletary, and last season averaged 6.5 yards per rush with eight touchdowns. He also averaged 26.1 yards per kick return in his career, with two TDs.Shelley is a feisty and undersized at 165 pounds Cody Whitehair Jersey , but had eight interceptions. He’ll play slot cornerback, according to Pace.Denmark plays outside cornerback. But at 6-foot-3½, 220 pounds, he’s as big as some linebackers. He switched last year from wide receiver to cornerback.SURPRISE MOVEPace traded up 14 places to take Montgomery. Not a huge surprise for Pace, though. He has made nine draft day trades since taking over as GM in 2015.HOW THEY DIDThe Bears addressed their greatest need at running back. But they did not address a huge hole on offense: kicker. Cody Parkey’s replacement is still pending. The Bears also didn’t select a tight end. Six Bears tight ends were injured last season. Then Daniel Brown left in free agency, Dion Sims was cut and Zach Miller retired, so they could have used one more. Another offensive lineman or safety were also possibilities and those spots were ignored.WHAT’S NEXT?They’ll continue to look at the kickers they have working in a three-man competition: Redford Jones, Chris Blewitt and Elliott Fry, who kicked in the AAF.Pace said he would likely sign a kicker and turn it into a four-player competition.A few unsigned free agent tight ends or a guard might be added.Prior to the draft, Pace estimated they would sign 18 to 20 undrafted free agents to complete the roster.

to sign Melvin Gordon to right now?Michael Peterson: Although it might be costly Doug Flutie Jersey , I’d be willing to go up to $11 million/yr if they were able to structure it to benefit the pending signings in 2020 and 2021. At the minimum, I would give him enough so he’s not making less than LeSean McCoy, Devonta Freeman, and Saquon Barkley. He deserves to be paid more than those guys. There’s a big jump between Freeman’s 8.25 mil and David Johnson $13 mil/yr so I’d be okay with somewhere between that. Probably 4 years/ $45 million.Matthew Stanley: I think the most I’d be okay with is a 4 year 36M deal, with an out after the 3rd year. Even that feels a tad rich for me but he has “earned it.” What I mean is that he’s a fantastic running back, and it’s not his fault, but the RB position in today’s NFL isn’t worth the premier contract money.Jamie Sewell: I’d be happy with 3 years, 28m. That’s never going to be a realistic deal so let him go. The Chargers have bigger needs to fill.Richard Wade: I’d be willing to go another year at about the same rate as Jamie’s suggestion. I think 4 years and $36 million is fair and the highest number I would be happy to see him get in Los Angeles.Garrett Sisti: I don’t think Melvin Gordon would take anything less than a 4 year deal and once the yearly breakdown becomes double digits I’m out. The highest I’m willing to go is 4 years/$36M with $10M guaranteed. That contract would have to be backloaded and have a ripcord after his 2nd season.Jason Michaels: 4 years at 9 mil avg. 24mil guaranteed. Year one is 5.6, same as contracted. Year two is 15, three and four are 10 and 8. Very fair and the highest I’d go.Lou Gorini: I’m a realist and don’t think they can get him for a deal similar to Devonta Freeman (I believe that’s 9/ mill a year). To be fair I’d say 4 years $40 million (with escalators to get to $44 million) $25 million guaranteed (same as Bell)Nate Lewkowitz: I stand by my comment on one of the Gordon posts the last few days where I said my final offer would be 4 years 45 million. I’ll say 24 of that is the very most they should guarantee.Jamie Hoyle: My offer would top out at 4 years, $40M with $28M in total guarantees. I’d give him a $10M signing bonus http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-trevor-williams-jersey , guarantee his 2020 and 2021 base salaries ($5M) on the third league day of the 2019 league year, and split the remaining $8M into roster bonuses in 2020 and 2021, with the 2020 roster bonus becoming fully guaranteed on the third day of the 2019 league year, and the 2021 roster bonus becoming fully guaranteed on the third day of the 2020 league year. The remaining $12M would be spread out as base salary over the last two years of the deal. The catch would be that he play out his fifth year option as-is so the team can maintain some flexibility. This would allow him to make $12M guaranteed in 2020 and 2021 ($5M base + $3M pro rated signing bonus +$4M roster bonus), but it would give the team an out after years two and three, with them being able to eat $3M in pro rated bonuses in order to save $6M in base salary.Mike Murray: On the pro Gordon side is the fact that the Chargers are better with him on the field and the fact that they legitimately have a shot at the Super Bowl this year. Whats going against Gordon, is the Chargers are deep at running back and while they are better with Gordon, they are not horrible without him. But what really bothers me as the GM, is that I have other guys to sign in the upcoming years - guys like Bosa. I am much more willing to throw big dollars at Bosa than I am at Gordon, mainly for the fact that Bosa is not easily replaceable. I think that lands me in that 4 year $40 million range, but that makes me a bit uncomfortable Womens Desmond King Jersey , but what I am willing to do it to keep continuity going because the title game is looming.Daniel Stebbins: I’d be agreeable if the team went as high as a four year $44 million extension. As always, I’m sure the team would structure it well so they have an out after year two and an extremely easy out after year three which makes this more digestible (even if it is a lot for a RB). Although I liked what we saw from Justin Jackson and Detrez Newsome, I’m not confident in saying that the team can rely on them to be major contributors should they go forward without Gordon in 2019. It’s in that detail where I get hung up about them letting him sit or trading him away. When they let Tyrell Williams walk, a talent they grew in-house and normally the type of player you want to keep around, it made sense due to the known depth of the position and potential in other players developing. Here, with the RB’s, it’s more of the latter which is harder to bet on especially when the team has been demonstrative in their belief in having a strong running game. Gordon deserves to be paid as one of the better backs in this league and I believe he will be here in Los Angeles at the end of the day. A 2-2 record after the first quarter of the season is not where Philip Rivers thought the Los Angeles Chargers would be, but it is a vast improvement compared to the past couple seasons. The Chargers got to .500 with a 29-27 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. It is the first time since 2015 they are even after four games and better than their 0-4 start to last season. If the Chargers are going to start stringing together wins, the next two weeks present a prime opportunity. They host Oakland (1-3) next Sunday and then are at Cleveland (1-2-1) on Oct. 14. The Chargers then have an Oct. 21 game at London against Tennessee (3-1) before their bye week. For a team that won six of its final nine games last season, the Chargers know that they need to position themselves well before November to make a run for their first postseason berth since 2013."We've got to go. We can't keep going win for loss the whole way there. We know what that does 鈥?that usually leaves you on the outside looking in," said Rivers Brandon Mebane Jersey , who was 25 of 39 for 250 yards with three TD passes and an interception. "Now we have a chance to win two in a row next week with the Raiders coming in."Rivers did end up reaching a couple milestones in Sunday's game. It marked the 200th game of his career and he passed John Elway for the eighth-most passing yards in NFL history. Rivers has 51,504 yards in 15 seasons.Coach Anthony Lynn and Rivers have talked all year about the versatility of the offense, and they showed it off on Sunday. Rivers completed passes to eight players while running backs Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler averaged 5.6 yards per carry against a Niners defense that was 10th against the run and allowing only 97 yards per game."I think last year when we were rolling, we were balanced. We've been that this year for the most part," said Rivers who has thrown for three or more touchdowns in five of the past six games.BEATHARD MAKES STRIDESSan Francisco's C.J. Beathard showed improvement from his rookie season. The second-year quarterback was 23 of 37 for 298 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. His 82.9 passer rating is his second highest in six career starts."I felt a lot more comfortable being out there in control. I definitely felt a lot more comfortable than last year," he said.Beathard's best throw of the day came on an 82-yard touchdown to George Kittle, where he found a wide open Kittle at the at the Niners' 40. Kittle, who was also a teammate of Beathard's at Iowa, caught it in stride and was able to outrun Chargers' defenders to the end zone.GROUND GORDON: Most of Gordon's big plays the first three games were as a receiver, but he had his first 100-yard rushing game of the season on Sunday with 104 yards on 15 carries. He had two carries of 15 yards or more, including a 34-yarder to the San Francisco 4 during the fourth quarter that helped set up Sturgis' go-ahead field goal."I think I had some good blocks http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-michael-schofield-jersey , made some guys miss and guys kind of got lazy on the tackles, and you got to make them pay for it," Gordon said.It is the sixth 100-yard rushing game of Gordon's career and his first since last Oct. 29 against New England.GROUNDED: It was a bad day for San Francisco's running game and its run defense. Matt Breida came in tied for the league lead in rushing but he was held to 39 yards on nine carries. The defense was 10th against the run and allowing only 97 yards per game but allowed a 100-yard rusher for the first time in 11 games.KICKING WOES: Sturgis made three field goals, but he also missed two extra points and a 54-yard field goal attempt. Lynn wasn't immediately saying that Sturgis' job is in danger, but it wouldn't be a surprise if the team brought in kickers for tryouts this week. The Chargers have missed eight PATs since the start of last season, which is the most in the league.TACKLE TROUBLES? The starting left tackles for both teams ended up getting injured during the first half and did not return. San Francisco's Joe Staley suffered a knee injury midway through the second quarter and Los Angeles' Russell Okung strained a groin on the last offensive play of the first half.Follow Joe Reedy at joereedy

The Eagles are among the teams who have been biding their time while playing the comp pick game. Philadelphia already has one of the most talented rosters in the league but there’s always room for improvement. Not to mention Howie Rosman has about $22 million in cap space to work with. Here’s a look at some targets who could make sense for the Eagles.DE EZEKIEL ANSAHAnsah is one of the most intriguing free agents remaining on the market. He led the NFL in pressure rate last year with 20 pressures in 101 pass rush snaps, per Pro Football Focus. Ansah’s market has evolved slowly as he’s recovery from shoulder surgery. Here’s what I wrote about Ansah as a possible Eagles target earlier this year:Ansah would be a great addition to the Eagles’ defensive end rotation, which is looking thin if Chris Long doesn’t return. For a team that likes to heavily rotate their pass rushers, the Eagles’ depth really drops off after the trio of Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, and Vinny Curry. If one of those three guys gets hurt, the Eagles are suddenly looking at one of Josh Sweat, Shareef Miller, Daeshon Hall Womens Nate Gerry Jersey , or Joe Ostman being a top three defensive end on the team. That’s not ideal.Signing Ansah makes a lot of sense for the Eagles but one would imagine he’ll be looking for a bigger role than what Philly will be offering him. Ansah has already taken some free agent visits and the Eagles seemingly haven’t been among those trips. It’d be nice if Schwartz could convince his former draft pick to spend a year with the Eagles before allowing Ziggy to test the market again in 2020. Just not counting on it to happen.DE DERRICK MORGANMorgan might be a more realistic signing for the Eagles. The 30-year-old has previously made it sound like he’s moving on from Tennessee. Morgan wouldn’t be some high impact player like Ansah but he could give the Eagles more depth. The 2010 first-round pick was selected three spots after Graham at No. 16 overall. He’s had a solid nine-year career with the Titans. Morgan’s coming off a down year with only 0.5 sacks in 2018 but he had sack totals of nine and 7.5 in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Morgan’s a Lancaster, PA native and attended high school in Coatesville. Maybe he has interest in moving back closer to home.DE PERNELL MCPHEEI wrote about McPhee as a potential Eagles target earlier this offseason:McPhee also overlapped with Fletcher Cox at Mississippi State, for what it’s worth. McPhee didn’t log a sack in limited playing time with Washington last year but he did rank 59th out of 173 edge rushers in pressure rate. He had eight quarterback hits and seven hurries in 203 defensive snaps, per PFF. DE WILLIAM HAYESHayes was selected by the Titans in the fourth-round of the 2008 NFL Draft while Schwartz was Tennessee’s defensive coordinator. Hayes played for former Dolphins defensive coordinator and current Eagles defensive special assistant Matt Burke in Miami over the past two seasons. Hayes, who recently turned 34, is coming off an ACL injury that he suffered in Week 3 last year. That’s not great. The upside is that Hayes ranked 28th out of 119 edge rushers in pressure back in 2017. OG JEFF ALLENAllen is a player the Eagles were rumored to be interested in back in 2016. Philadelphia decided to sign Brandon Brooks away from the Texans instead. It’s safe to say the Eagles got that decision right. Brooks has been a Pro Bowl guard for the Eagles while Allen struggled to play well and dealt with injury issues after signing with Houston. But with Brooks now recovering from an Achilles injury, the Eagles could afford to add some interior offensive line depth. Signing the 29-year-old Allen makes a lot of sense. He’s versatile and has experience playing at tackle, guard Reggie White Jersey , and center. He’s also known for being a good locker room guy.The Eagles have familiarity with Allen since he played for the Chiefs while Pederson was Kansas City’s offensive coordinator from 2013 through 2015. OG STEFEN WISNIEWSKIBack in March, the Eagles declined Wisniewski’s option for the 2019 season. He’s failed to receive strong interest on the market to this point but maybe they’ll change with teams no longer having to worry about him impacting their comp pick formula.I’d think Wis doesn’t have a ton of interest in returning to the Eagles because he feels like he should be starting. He said that he felt like his 2018 benching wasn’t performance-related. If Wis sees his market dry up, though, he could decide the Eagles are ultimately his best option in 2019. There could be an avenue to playing time, anyway, with Brooks recovering from injury and Isaac Seumalo subject to struggles. If I was the Eagles, I’d consider placing the rarely-used May 7 tender (formerly the June 1 tender) on Wis. In short, this would allow the Eagles to 1) bring Wis back at a reasonable cost or 2) allow him to still count towards the Eagles’ comp pick formula if he signs with another team.RB JAY AJAYIWait. Why is Ajayi making this list? The Eagles already have Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders Womens Mike Quick Jersey , Corey Clement, Josh Adams, Wendell Smallwood, Boston Scott, and Donnel Pumphrey. And the Eagles already gave out Ajayi’s No. 26 jersey to Sanders.I’m not including Ajayi here because I think he’ll be on Philadelphia’s roster in 2019. I’m including him because I think they could offer him a May 7 tender in order to try to get a comp pick for him, similar to what I just talked about with Wis. Over The Cap comp picks expert Nick Korte recently talked about this possibility:CB KAYVON WEBSTERFrom earlier this offseason:Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby are still recovering from significant injuries suffered in 2018. If they’re at risk of missing games early in 2019, it wouldn’t hurt to add a veteran like Webster. The oldest corner on the Eagles’ roster is Josh Hawkins, who is 26. Webster is 28. S GLOVER QUINI think the Eagles might be done adding safeties. Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod are the projected starters, though McLeod is coming off ACL/MCL recovery. The Eagles signed Andrew Sendejo to seemingly be their third safety. The Eagles also recently claimed Blake Countess and his $2 million salary off waivers. There’s been talk (including from myself) that the Eagles could cut Sendejo to save a fourth-round comp pick and $800 http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-wes-hopkins-jersey ,000. I’m not going to dismiss that possibility. But it might not have to come to that. If the Eagles use the May 7 tender to get Wis and/or Ajayi to count TOWARDS their comp pick formula, they won’t need to cut Sendejo to save a fourth-round pick. So we’ll see how that goes.If the Eagles do want to add a safety who doesn’t impact their comp pick formula, Quin could be of interest as the team’s new version of Corey Graham. The Lions originally signed Quin while Schwartz was Detroit’s head coach. At 33, Quin’s best days are behind him. It’s also not like the Eagles have needed to wait to sign him since he was cut by the Lions earlier this offseason. Still, I’ll mention him here due to the Sendejo comp pick consideration. I’ll also give honorable mention to Tre Boston, who is still on the market for some reason. I’m guessing he’s hoping for a bigger role than Philly could reasonably offer. RB DARREN SPROLESSproles previously said he was going to make his decision to retire or not in May. Well, it’s May now. The feeling here is that Sproles would like to play in 2019. I also feel like Pederson would like to have Sproles back. But I’m not so sure the front office will be eager to pay a 36-year-old running back who’s only been able to play in nine games the past two years due to injury. ...Who do you want the Eagles to sign? That’s not as clear.Unless, that is Wilbert Montgomery Jersey , if you ask former NFL general manager Mike Lombardi. Here’s what Lombardi recently had to say on his podcast:This is the first we’ve heard about Douglas’ intentions. If Lombardi’s information is good — and to be fair, he has seemingly been plugged in on the Jets’ situation — then Douglas does seem bound to leave the Eagles in the near future. Then again, this wouldn’t be the first time Lombardi is wrong about a Douglas.

rookie mini-camp tomorrow Barry Church Jersey , the team got started on getting their draft class under contract as they announced the signings of sixth round pick Gardner..."With the Jaguars set to kick off their 2019 rookie mini-camp tomorrow, the team got started on getting their draft class under contract as they announced the signings of sixth round pick Gardner Minshew and seventh round pick Dontavius Russell to their rookie deals.Minshew will enter the summer as the penciled in back up to Nick Foles following the team’s release of 2018 back up and eventual starter, Cody Kessler earlier in the day. He faces competition from last year’s sixth round pick Tanner Lee and fellow first year player Alex McGough.Russell begins his Jaguars career as added depth to the nose tackle position, and will likely be facing off with Eli Ankou to be the back up for Abry Jones come September. The Jaguars now have two of their seven drafted rookies under contract. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Up, down. Good, bad. This is nothing new for the Jacksonville Jaguars.Offensive inconsistency has become as much a part of the team’s identity as defensive proficiency under coach Doug Marrone. It’s Jacksonville’s biggest downfall and a main reason why many outsiders refuse to consider the Jaguars (2-1) a legitimate title contender in 2018.They reached another low Sunday, failing to score an offensive touchdown for the second time in two years http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-ereck-flowers-jersey , advancing past midfield just twice and losing 9-6 to AFC South rival Tennessee .Dropped passes, batted balls and penalties were part of the problem. So was Blake Bortles, who completed 21 of 34 passes for 155 yards and was sacked three times. The lackluster performance came one week after Jacksonville looked unbelievably smooth in a 31-20 victory against New England , a rematch of last season’s AFC championship game.“Is it head-scratching? Yeah, of course,” Marrone said. “Obviously, it’s not what you expect. … It’s not like it’s one thing or one set. It was a combination of really not playing well at all.”The Jaguars will try to bounce back against the New York Jets (1-2) on Sunday, wrapping up a three-game homestand.“We’ve got to find out and figure out how we’re going to handle it as a team Womens Brad Nortman Jersey ,” Bortles said.Getting running back Leonard Fournette back would help. Fournette missed his second consecutive game with a strained right hamstring. He tweaked it in the season opener at the New York Giants and has missed 10 of 12 quarters.Fournette is the team’s offensive centerpiece, a pounding runner who sets the tone for Marrone’s throwback style. The Jags managed to beat the Giants and Patriots without him, but needed a defensive touchdown to upend New York and the best game of Bortles’ five-year career to knock off New England. They never led against the Titans, falling behind after a failed fake punt early and giving up a game-winning drive late.“It definitely feels like a letdown,” Bortles said. “I don’t think there was anything carried over from last week or the previous two weeks. We try to treat it like a new start, a fresh start. … Kind of came out and offensively laid a goose egg. Score six points in four quarters is hard to do.”It was the franchise’s fewest points since a 30-6 loss to Houston in the 2015 season finale and its fewest at home since a 37-3 drubbing by Indianapolis in 2013.The Jaguars blamed the latest dud on matchup issues against the equally physical Titans, who have won three in a row and five of the last six in the series. But they also struggled to generate many yards and points against the Jets, Cleveland Dawuane Smoot Jersey , Arizona and Buffalo in 2017 and against the Giants two weeks ago.“Very frustrating, but we’re not going to blame people,” Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey said. Not yet anyway. But in a season several players have dubbed Super Bowl-or-bust and with a defense that considers itself the best in the league , Jacksonville has potential for back-biting and finger-pointing.The Jaguars insist that won’t happen. Several defenders even spoke in the locker room after the loss and showed support for Bortles and the offense.“I’m confident this team will respond,” defensive end Calais Campbell said. “Losses suck. They always have; they always will. This one stings a little bit because it’s a division game at home. At the end of the day, it’s just one loss, and how we respond is really what it comes down to. I’m very confident this team will respond.”

the team is likely to do."Free agency starts for the NFL on Wednesday Womens Eddie Jackson Jersey , and not a soul knows what could be in the works for the Atlanta Falcons. We’ve heard rumblings of interest in offensive lineman Kevin Pamphile, a Tampa Bay veteran who has worked with Dirk Koetter in the past. He’d be a very good depth signing, and a decent-enough stopgap option for either guard spot or maybe even right tackle. Now, we’re closer to having an exact idea of where the team’s mind might be heading into midweek, and a few more names to consider as potential Falcons. D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution shared a piece of information pertinent to what position group the Falcons seem to zeroing in on for the first wave of free agency. He says the team is “expected to try to sign an offensive lineman,” and namechecks Pamphile as a potential option. He also mentions former Bucs and Seahawks guard J.R. Sweezy and pending Vikings free agent Nick Easton as potential guys to watch for. D-Led mentions that the Falcons tried to sign Sweezy in free agency in 2016 before he ventured to join the Buccaneers for two seasons. He returned to Seattle last year. Sweezy didn’t do so well in PFF’s eyes last season, grading out as a “45.7” in their eyes. That’s “not good.” That's good for “below average” status. Nonetheless, he Seahawks appeared to be happy with him in his return and wanted him back for 2019. His old OC Darrell Bevell is now with the Lions, making that a potential landing spot, too. Easton was undrafted out of Harvard in 2015 who found a home with the Vikings. He started for the team in 2017 for a good stretch before finishing the year on IR, and then Ha Ha Clinton-Dix Jersey , unfortunately suffering a camp neck injury that sidelined him for all of 2018.PFF was not big on him in 2017 outside of his pass-blocking, which they said was fairly strong at one point in the season. The Vikings reportedly will discuss bringing Easton back this coming week, as he’s been medically cleared for the 2019 season. The Falcons are not going to be able to get in a bidding war for either player should that be where this is headed, and to be quite honest, they don’t need to. Sweezy is a solid guard with a ceiling; Easton more laden with potential but is more raw has injury history. Neither option portends a super-sound fix, but both could come in and get the job done right now. If we were picking a favorite, we’d say Pamphile, but Sweezy feels like the most Thomas Dimitroff type of move to settle left guard. To be very fair to TD, his gamble on Andy Levitre paid off big time, so maybe this would work. Easton could also be someone who grows into being a great pass-blocking guard (what you need in a Koetter offense), but he’s young http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-allen-robinson-jersey , has struggled elsewhere and has the health you must consider.Other options are out there, too. Stalwart guard T.J. Lang just got a release from Detroit, former Falcon Tom Compton is out there as well. Many names could filter in here and there as affordable options, though not many would be ones you'd want to hear about. The team only has, per D-Led, $6.7 million right now, though that’ll change once the team inevitably extends Grady Jarrett, reworks Julio Jones and either restructures or releases Ryan Schraeder. Brandon Fusco could also be a surprise release down the way, with a post-June 1 cut clearing out most of his salary (about $4 million, per OTC).The offensive line only has two confirmed starters in Jake Matthews and Alex Mack. Both guard spots and right tackle are up for grabs, even if we suspect right tackle will go to Sambrailo. We’ll see if the team’s first free agency signing answers one of those questions. The Cowboys gave their playoff hopes a big boost by beating the Saints on Thursday night. And they boosted the Rams as well. The Rams have leapfrogged the Saints and moved into the top spot in the NFC after New Orleans lost at Dallas. Although the Saints own the head-to-head tiebreaker and will earn the top seed if the two teams finish tied Womens Chase Daniel Jersey , the Rams are now a half game ahead of the Saints heading into Week 13.Here’s how the playoff picture looks after Thursday night:1. Rams (10-1): They have an easy schedule the rest of the way, starting with Sunday at Detroit, so they have a good chance of finishing ahead of the Saints in the standings.2. Saints (10-2): Still the favorites to earn a bye week, but now they have an uphill climb to home-field advantage.3. Bears (8-3): The inside track to the No. 3 seed, but can they catch the Saints for a bye?4. Cowboys (7-5): Now owns sole possession of first place in the NFC East.5. Vikings (6-4-1): If they keep winning, they maintain a half-game lead in the wild card race.6. Washington (6-5): Owns the wild card tiebreaker over Seattle based on NFC record, and over Carolina based on head-to-head.7. Seahawks (6-5): Has the tiebreaker over Carolina thanks to Sunday’s head-to-head win.8. Panthers (6-5): Two straight losses in games they easily could have won have severely hurt their playoff chances.9. Eagles (5-6): Pulling out the comeback win against the Giants means they’re not dead yet in the NFC East.10. Packers (4-6-1): When they signed Aaron Rodgers to his huge new contract they thought they’d be playoff contenders for years to come. In Year One of the contract, they’re not.11. Falcons (4-7): Their Thanksgiving loss was the final nail in the coffin.12. Buccaneers (4-7): Jameis Winston‘s best game of the season was too little, too late.13. Lions (4-7): Their Thanksgiving loss was the final nail in the coffin.14. Giants (3-8): Stuck in last place in the NFC East.15. Cardinals (2-9): Swept the 49ers for their only two wins of the season.16. 49ers (2-9): The worst team in the NFC.

about his toughest annual road game."As NFL team owners Nick Foles Jersey , general managers and head coaches met with reporters at the annual meetings this week, Giants quarterback Eli Manning was answering his own set of questions as part of a panel discussion for the NYIT Center for Sports Medicine/Head Injury Association.Along with naming the most gifted athlete he’s ever played with (Odell Beckham Jr.), the NFL veteran talked about the hardest hit he’d ever taken, and remembered the first game of his career on the bad end of a tackle by Eagles’ Jerome McDougle in 2004.According to Newsday, Manning quipped:Manning also named Philadelphia as his toughest road games each season http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-deandre-carter-jersey , and noted that it’s a different kind of environment... from fans of all ages. The quarterback has had plenty of experience playing the Eagles on the road, and has only won six matchups in Philly. His overall record against his NFC East rival isn’t much better, collectively going 10-20 during his 15 year career.Eagles fans might get a bad rep, but for players suiting up for the home team, they create one of the best home-field advantage environments in the NFL. And Womens Nigel Bradham Jersey , they aren’t supposed to make things comfortable for the opponent, let alone a division foe. It’s just never going to happen. So, whether 9-year-olds are flipping the bird to opponents or yelling obscenities from the stands, they’re showing support for the home team, and that’s all that really matters.Despite being 38 years old Brandon Brooks Jersey , Manning said he was still passionate about the game, and Giants GM Dave Gettleman doesn’t seem to be trying to usher in any kind of new era in New York — at least, not anytime soon. Which means the Eagles should still get to see Eli a couple times a year, and he’ll get at least one more chance to be blasted by kids in Philly. Carson Wentz will be the Eagles’ starting quarterback this season. Nick Foles will be elsewhere. So who will back Wentz up?Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman said on that he hasn’t decided yet: Nate Sudfeld has a chance to earn that job, but the Eagles are also going to look at the quarterback market and see who they can bring in.“Nate’s a guy that when he signed he had an opportunity to learn behind Carson and Nick and he’s made incredible progress as our scout team quarterback http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-malik-jackson-jersey , as someone who has been the backup when Carson got hurt and we didn’t bring back someone else,” Roseman said. “But this is also a position we continue to invest in. We’ve got great quarterback teachers. It would be a disservice to our franchise if we didn’t continue to look at every quarterback option as well.”Wentz and Sudfeld are the only two quarterbacks on the Eagles’ roster once Foles officially becomes a free agent on March 13, so Philadelphia will certainly add one or two quarterbacks to be there in the offseason. Whether one of them can beat out Sudfeld to back up Wentz remains to be seen, but given Wentz’s injury history it’s fair to assume that the Eagles want someone they can count on to be the No. 2 quarterback on the depth chart.

JACKSONVILLE http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-niles-paul-jersey , Fla. (AP) — a dominant defensive performance last week.He refused to let it happen again.Bortles threw two touchdown passes, including a 67-yarder to Donte Moncrief, and the Jaguars offense gave the defense plenty of help in a 31-12 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday. Bortles ended up with a career-high 388 yards passing, topping 375 yards for the second time in three games.“(The defense) played incredible again today,” Bortles said. “There were some sloppy parts of the game that we’ve got to clean up, but to give them some points to go play with the lead was good.”It was a much different story a week ago, when the Jaguars (3-1) managed just two field goals in a 9-6 loss to Tennessee.Bortles was clearly off in that one. He was much sharper against the Jets (1-3), who have dropped three straight. He found T.J. Yeldon wide open for a 31-yard score in the second quarter and then beat a blitz with the deep pass to Moncrief down the sideline. The pass to Moncrief was Jacksonville’s lone offensive highlight in an ugly second half. The Jaguars had three turnovers that led to nine points for the Jets.“It’s just growth. That’s the easiest way to say it,” Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson said. “We’ve got to be consistent like this all time. Offense dropped the ball last week, so to speak, but this week they picked it up and put 500 yards on the board.“That’s the best measure of a man and a football player — to put that turmoil behind you and move on and show your growth, and we did that.”Jets rookie Sam Darnold was harassed early and often, getting sacked three times and nearly throwing three interceptions. Tashaun Gipson’s pick was overturned by a holding penalty on the other side of the field, and Pro Bowl cornerbacks A.J. Bouye and Jalen Ramsey each dropped INTs that would have ended New York’s first two scoring drives.Regardless, the Jaguars allowed 178 yards, allowed 10 first downs and recorded its first safety since 2014. It was the team’s best defensive output since holding Cincinnati to 148 yards last November. The Jets scored their lone touchdown following Yeldon’s fourth-quarter fumble, a 2-yard pass from Darnold to Jordan Leggett. It was hardly the “identity game” the Jets had wanted.“I felt we took a step back today,” Jets coach Todd Bowles said. “Nobody played well. We gave up a bunch of yards. We usually fight to be in ballgames. We’re usually in every ballgame. But we shot ourselves in the foot too much in the first half today. It’s back to the drawing board in every phase — offense Womens Marcell Dareus Jersey , defense, special teams. It’s back to the drawing board.“The other three games, we lost on silly things but we were in ballgames. Today, I don’t think we were in the ballgame. We didn’t give ourselves a chance.”It was about what the confident Jaguars expected. They improved to 6-1 following losses in coach Doug Marrone’s two seasons.Jacksonville’s biggest concern coming out of the victory was the health of running back Leonard Fournette, who re-injured his strained right hamstring. Fournette missed the last two games while trying to get back to full speed, but tweaked it during his return.Fournette ran 11 times for 30 yards before leaving the game for good. Marrone said he’s worried about the relapse.“I’d be (lying) if I said no,” Marrone said. ‘Anytime you come back and you’re ready to go and then all of a sudden you get injured again, it’s not a good sign.”QB STATSBortles completed 29 of 38 passes, with an interception on a ball tipped at the line of scrimmage.Darnold was 17 of 34 passing for 167 yards. The 1-2 punch of Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell combined for 26 yards rushing.“We’ve got to make plays that were there,” Darnold said. “I’ve got to make throws that are there and not think too much, take what they give me and we’ll start to find completions and get into a rhythm.”FIRST SACKSJets defensive lineman Leonard Williams and Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue recorded their first sacks of the season. Williams took down Bortles in the second quarter. Ngakoue sacked Darnold on the last play of the first half.KEY INJURIESJaguars center Brandon Linder was ruled out at halftime with a back injury. … Jets cornerback Morris Claiborne left game with a stomach illness, and linebacker Josh Martin was ruled out with concussion-like symptoms.UP NEXTJets: Host Denver next Sunday.Jaguars: Play at Kansas City next Sunday. It’s playoff time in most fantasy leagues, so if you’re still contending for a title it probably means you had a crafty draft, timely waiver wire moves and a fortunate bounce or two along the way. Now, the job is shifting.Week 14 is also the last week of the regular season in a host of leagues. Weather could be a factor this week in some games, but the objective is the same as it was in September: win.START: Amari Cooper, WR, Cowboys: Performing at a WR1 level Josh Lambo Jersey , Cooper has caught 16 of 17 targets in the past two weeks and will have a great opportunity to continue his pace against an Eagles pass defense that is 30th in fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Cooper was targeted 10 times in the Week 10 victory at Philadelphia and will see a similar volume of targets from quarterback Dak Prescott. The Eagles have allowed 47 completions of better than 20 yards, which plays well for Cooper’s chances.SIT: Tom Brady, QB, Patriots: The touchdowns haven’t been there for Brady, who has just four scoring tosses in his last five games, including a pair of zeroes in Weeks 8 and 10. With the emergence of rookie running back Sony Michel, the need for Brady to air it out has lessened. He’s also been less than stellar throughout his career at Miami, who is second in the league with 19 interceptions. Unless he’s the only available option, look elsewhere.START: Gus Edwards, RB, Ravens: Since being plugged into the lineup, Edwards has averaged 105 yards per game. Now he gets a Chiefs defense that is 31st in fantasy points per game allowed to opposing running backs. Edwards has just one touchdown this season, a total that should go up considering that Kansas City has given up 14 rushing scores and a hefty 5.1 yards per carry. He’s a borderline RB1 with potential to put up monster numbers.SIT: Marlon Mack, RB, Colts: Out of the frying pan that was the Jaguars‘ defense and into the fire of a blistering hot Texans D goes Mack, who had just eight carries for 27 yards last week against Jacksonville. His production could be further carved if Indianapolis must go pass-heavy, as rookie Nyheim Hines will see more touches. Houston is fifth in the league against the run, and only the Bears (four) and Patriots (five) have allowed fewer rushing touchdowns than the Texans with six. Mack is too risky http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-taven-bryan-jersey , especially in PPR formats.START: David Njoku, TE, Browns: Inconsistent of late, Njoku has just 12 targets in his last three games but will have the opportunity to reward faithful fantasy owners against a Panthers defense that is the worst at stopping opposing tight ends. Carolina has allowed at least two touchdown passes nine times this season and with Cleveland looking to avoid the Panthers’ fifth-ranked run defense, it’s easy to see quarterback Baker Mayfield making Njoku a focal point of the offense, especially in the red zone.SIT: Jared Goff, QB, Rams: Yes, Goff has led many a fantasy team to postseason glory, but starting him against the Bears could lead to a one-and-done scenario. Game time temps will be in the upper 20s and the only thing colder than the weather are opposing passers against the Chicago defense, which leads the league with 21 interceptions while allowing just five touchdown passes in the last five games. The risk-reward that comes with starting Goff on Sunday night leans heavily to the risk category.START: Adam Humphries, WR, Buccaneers: He has thrived in the wake of DeSean Jackson’s absence, catching touchdowns in each of his last three games. Humphries will have every opportunity to extend his scoring streak against a Saints defense that is the worst in fantasy points per game allowed to opposing receivers, as his sure hands have caught 16 of 20 targets in the past three weeks. With this game a potential offensive free-for-all, add Humphries as a WR3/flex.SIT: Alshon Jeffrey, WR, Eagles: Fantasy owners would love to know the whereabouts of Jeffrey Womens Justin Blackmon Jersey , who hasn’t scored since Week 7 and has failed to exceed 50 receiving yards in his last five games. There’s little reason to envision Jeffery reviving his fortunes against a Cowboys pass defense that is sixth in fewest receiving yards allowed and is tied for third with just 16 touchdown passes allowed.START: Aaron Jones, RB, Packers: After rushing for only 36 yards last week against the Cardinals, Jones is a strong rebound candidate when he squares up against the Falcons, who are 27th against the run and giving up 4.9 yards per carry. He did score last week, marking four straight games with a touchdown. Jones could finally see a more extensive workload under interim coach Joe Philbin.SIT: Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks: It’s tough to bench a quarterback who has thrown multiple touchdowns in eight straight games, but Wilson is facing a Vikings pass defense that has been in lockdown mode in the past month. Minnesota is ninth in fewest passing yards allowed and has contained the likes of Drew Brees, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady over the last five games, surrendering a combined four touchdown passes in the same span. Wilson hasn’t run much this season, but a Vikings pass rush that has recorded 36 sacks will force him to be more run-centric.

more Gale Sayers Jersey , and they’re going to be heavily reliant on their current players to get there."The Falcons have big expectations for many of their young players, which is to be expected. Also expected: Dan Quinn gets really fired up talking about them.At the NFL’s spring meetings, Quinn was asked about players who he expects to take a next step, and the list was not confined to a small handful of guys. Giant quote incoming: So in summary, Quinn’s just expecting more out of Calvin Ridley, Ito Smith Womens Walter Payton Jersey , Isaiah Oliver, Deadrin Senat, Russell Gage, Foye Oluokun, Takk McKinley, Vic Beasley http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-jim-mcmahon-jersey , Deion Jones, De’Vondre Campbell, Damontae Kazee, Jake Matthews, and Austin Hooper. If all of those guys took a step forward, this team would likely be a juggernaut Tarik Cohen Jersey , given that Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu, and Grady Jarrett are also on this squad. The excitement with which Quinn speaks about that many players clues us in to the team’s broad expectations for the year ahead. The sense that this Falcons team has many players primed to take a step forward, plus a (knock on wood) return to good health, is motivating the Falcons to invest heavily in their future via the draft Womens James Daniels Jersey , instead of trying to clear the decks for big ticket free agents. It motivated them to let go of some players they had previously heavily relied on, with the expectation that young guys are ready to come forward and play well. And it was a factor, clearly, in Dan Quinn seizing a more active role on defense and clearing out his coaching staff in search of better teachers, mentors, and fits. We’ve outlined the risks of this approach multiple times—if players don’t step up or Quinn’s gamble on coaching fails http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-aaron-lynch-jersey , the winds of change will be blowing—but it’s a comfort to know the Falcons expect improvement from so many on the team. Let’s hope Quinn’s faith and the team’s willingness to grant opportunity pay off in a major way. The Vikings ruled out running back Dalvin Cook for Sunday’s game.Cook’s shoulder injury limited him in practice all week after he missed Monday night’s game with his injury. His backup, Alexander Mattison, also was limited all week with an ankle injury. He is questionable.Mattison has missed the past two games. The Vikings also ruled out linebacker Eric Kendricks with a quadriceps injury that sidelined him after 36 snaps against the Packers on Monday night. He did not practice this week.Safety Jayron Kearse (foot) and cornerback Mackensie Alexander (knee) are questionable.Alexander was an addition to the injury report Friday after a limited practice.Kearse was a full participant all week. The Vikings already know they have the sixth seed in the NFC playoffs no matter the result of their game against the Bears on Sunday. So they are expected to rest some starters anyway, including quarterback Kirk Cousins.

slogan literally during a joint practice two years ago. Both coaches were thankful there wasn't a sequel on Thursday."That was a good professional practice http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-melvin-ingram-jersey ," Lynn said after the two-hour session at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex, which is the Chargers' training camp base. "It was clean and there were a lot of plays back and forth."The teams were involved in three fights during a practice at UC Irvine in 2017 with the most notable being Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen taking down Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman. Allen's highlight this time was making a diving catch near the Rams' sideline on a deep ball from Philip Rivers.Rams safety Eric Weddle, who played for the Chargers from 2007-15, said going against his former club was good, especially a week into training camp."They gave us different looks and Philip is one of the best quarterbacks in the league Womens Junior Seau Jersey ," Weddle said. "There weren't any cheap shots or anything you have to worry about. We got great work out of it."The practice was also a good early gage to see how the Chargers are coping without running back Melvin Gordon and offensive left tackle Russell Okung. Gordon is holding out for a contract extension while Okung is out indefinitely due to blood clots.Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson got most of the first team snaps at running back. Both showed some flashes with a couple nice gains after finding openings.Ekeler, who is going into this third season, said he is getting more reps with the first team but getting the same amount of overall plays during practice."It's still the same plays and reads. It is six running backs in camp, so we have a good rotation," he said. "Even if he was here Doug Flutie Jersey , we have same mentality. We still have to move forward."Ekeler emerged last season as a good complementary back to Gordon due to his speed and ability to catch it out of the backfield. Jackson did not see much action until late in the season, when Gordon missed three games with a knee injury, but performed well when needed. He got the start in the Week 15 win over Kansas City, gaining 58 yards on 16 carries and scoring a touchdown."We're all trying to expand our game," Jackson said. "Melvin has been the bell cow and gets a lot of the inside runs. For all of us to get those runs too and more experience http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-trevor-williams-jersey , that's important."Lynn said he felt like the offensive line held its own against the Rams, especially Trent Scott, who has been seeing more time at left tackle due to Okung's injury. Scott and Sam Tevi would be in line to be the two tackles if Okung would not be ready for the Sept. 6 opener against Indianapolis."There are some things that we can do once we get into the games to help the young guys that we're not doing right now," Lynn said. "Right now, we want to see them struggle a little bit and get better."Rams coach Sean McVay said the workouts have come at a perfect time for his team after four sessions of installing their system. They will hold a brief practice on Friday before the two teams meet again at the Rams field at UC Irvine on Saturday.Ekeler is hoping that cooler heads will continue to prevail."I remember coming in two years ago the intensity level was pretty high but today it was pretty chill and just like a normal practice Womens Desmond King Jersey ," he said. "It is great because in training camp there are going to be mistakes. We still can get excited and not have to fight each other." Chargers running back Melvin Gordon wants a new contract and has made noise about sitting out into the regular season in order to force the issue with the team.No one needs to look too far into the past for an example of a running back sitting out an entire year. Le'Veon Bell did that in Pittsburgh last year and his approach eventually led some of his teammates to share their view that he should have reported to the team once in became clear the Steelers were not going to extend his contract.Gordon does not think that things will play out the same way with his teammates.“They’re all behind me. They all got my back,” Gordon said, via ESPN.com. “They all told me you know what — we don’t really speak on contracts — but you just go and do what’s best for your family. And I’m glad I got that support from them.”The reaction of other players to Bell’s decision to stay away from the team changed over time. It’s too early to know if the same will be true with the Chargers if Gordon has an extended holdout this year, but support could easily turn to apathy if the offense keeps playing well with Austin Ekeler or someone else carrying the load in the backfield.

when it comes to finding a replacement for departed Vice President of Player Personnel Joe Douglas.According to Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia Corey Graham Jersey , Eagles G.M. Howie Roseman gave indications that Douglas’ replacement could come from within the team’s front office. We’re very fortunate we have a lot of talented people in this building and we prepared for the day we were going to lose someone,” Roseman said Monday. “We certainly did not want to lose Joe. We are deep in the front office.”Douglas spent the last four-plus years serving as Philadelphia’s Vice President of Player Personnel before being hired by the New York Jets to serve as they next General Manager last week. Douglas could certainly look to build his new staff in New York by poaching some of his former colleagues with the Eagles as well.Andy Weidl has been the Eagles’ Director of Player Personnel the last three seasons and may be the most obvious candidate to assume Douglas’ duties moving forward. Fun fact: this is the first time the Lions return to Philly since the Snow Bowl in 2013.3-0Week 4 - at Green Bay Packers (Sept. 26, 8:20 PM ET, FOX/NFLN) Thursday Night FootballThe Packers could be back to being much more dangerous with Mike McCarthy gone. Not to mention it’s hard to bet against Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field. The 2019 Packers game could be the Eagles’ 2018 Saints game or their 2017 Seahawks game. that once scapegoated him. Eagles drop two in a row.5-3Week 9 - vs. Chicago Bears (Nov. 3, 1:00 PM ET, FOX)The Bears will be hungry for revenge after losing to the Eagles in heartbreaking fashion during the playoffs. The feeling here is they won’t get it here. Chicago is worse off after losing one of the best defensive coordinators in the league in Vic Fangio. Mitchell Trubisky is hardly intimidating.6-3Week 10 - BYE (No. 10) Nice to have a bye before two very tough games.Week 11 - vs. New England Patriots (Nov. 17, 4:25 PM ET, CBS)vs. New England Patriots: The Super Bowl LII rematch figures to be hell of a game. We already know Doug Pederson can out-coach Bill Belichick but can Carson Wentz out-duel Tom Brady? The Pats enter this game with a rest advantage since they have a bye in Week 10. They’ll publicly downplay wanting revenge in this game but you know deep down they really want this one. Unfortunately, I’m picking the Evil Empire to win this game. It’s OK, though Womens DeSean Jackson Jersey , because the Eagles will beat them again in Super Bowl LIV.6-4Week 12 - vs. Seattle Seahawks (Nov. 24, 8:20 PM ET, NBC) Sunday Night FootballRussell Wilson has completed 60.6% of his attempts for 762 yards (7.7 average), six touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 104.9 passer rating in three career games against the Eagles. Maybe he’ll look more mortal playing at the Linc instead of CenturyLink but I’ll believe it when I see it. Eagles lose this game.6-5Week 13 - at Miami Dolphins (Dec. 1, 1:00 PM ET, FOX)Potentially facing Ryan Fitzpatrick makes me nervous after seeing him shred the Eagles’ secondary in Week 2 last year. This Dolphins team isn’t very good, though, and they’re actively tanking for a good pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In the least anticipated matchup on Philly’s schedule, the Eagles cruise to a win.7-5Week 14 - vs. New York Giants (Dec. 9, 8:15 PM ET Cameron Johnston Jersey , ESPN) Monday Night FootballThe stat that perfectly sums up the Eagles’ lasting dominance over the Giants: Donovan McNabb has as many wins (4-0) in the last 22 Philly vs. New York games as Eli Manning (4-18). I don’t know why anyone would take a 38-year-old, washed up Manning to beat the Eagles. This is going to be the game where, for the time in NFL history, the Eagles will take the lead in their all-time series against the Giants. The record is currently tied at 86-86-2.8-5Week 15 - at Washington Redskins (Dec. 15, 1:00 PM ET, FOX)at Washington Redskins - Again, I think Washington can be competitive. They have some solid pieces on their roster and there are much worse coaches than Jay Gruden. But I just can’t pick Keenum to beat the Eagles in front of a midnight green crowd that invades FedEx Field once again.9-5Week 16 - vs. Dallas Cowboys (Dec. 22, 4:25 PM ET, FOX)For some reason, the Eagles just don’t play well against the Cowboys vs. Dallas Cowboys Ever since 44 to 6 happened in 2008, Dallas is 8-2 in games played at Lincoln Financial Field. In fairness, two of those Cowboys wins were Week 17 games in which the Eagles were resting starters. But one of the Eagles’ only two wins in the last 10 games was alsoa Week 17 contest where Dallas was resting players. I’m going to go against history here and say the Eagles are due for a home win against their biggest NFC East rival. Dak Prescott throws a red zone pick-six late in the game to lead to a division-clinching win. Lito Sheppard redux.10-5Week 17 - at New York Giants (Dec. 29 http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-paul-worrilow-jersey , 1:00 PM ET, FOX)This game could potentially be meaningless for the Eagles if they already have their playoff positioning locked up. If the Eagles need to win this game, they will certainly find a way to beat Manning and Pat Shurmur. One of the least threatening quarterback and head coach combinations in the NFL. If the Eagles rest their starters, well, I think Nate Sudfeld might still be able to beat the G-Men?11-5...Final record: 11-5I think the Eagles are looking at a floor of 9-7 and a ceiling of 12-4. Of course, that range assumes Carson Wentz stays healthy. There’s potential for things to go south quickly if he’s hurt once again unless Nate Sudfeld is the second coming of Nick Foles. As stated ad nauseam, the feeling here is that Wentz is poised for a bounce back year. We all saw how special he was after having a full offseason to prepare for 2017. Wentz has made a habit out of proving his doubters wrong and he could easily do it once again this year.Aside from Wentz, the Eagles still have one of the best head coaches in the league in Pederson. Schwartz’s defense, at the very least, should be good enough to not be a liability. Howie Roseman has assembled a lot of talent on this roster. There hasn’t been a repeat winner in the NFC East the Eagles did it in 2004. I don’t think the Cowboys are going to break that streak this season. Instead, it’ll be the Eagles who reclaim the throne in advance of making another playoff run.

We’ve signed a quarterback and re-signed a subpar offensive lineman.Super Bowl, baby! We’re going to try and gather every piece of news, every rumor, and every update in our live blogs through the rest of the week right here. We love you all.11:26 AM: Uhh... uhhhhhhh... no. Just no. Cedric Ogbuehi is #confirmed #bad.9:15 AM: We signed a tight end!8:53 AM: The free agent bargain bin is open and ready for business. The Jaguars will likely sign one of these guys today. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Cover your eyes, folks. This one could be ugly, even by late-season NFL standards. When the Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars take the field Sunday, it might look a little like a preseason game. The dreaded fourth preseason game Chris Conley Jersey , too.Redskins quarterback Josh Johnson, who was getting ready to play in the startup Alliance of American Football league just a couple weeks ago, will make his first start since 2011. The Jaguars (4-9) will counter with Cody Kessler, who has managed one touchdown in 22 drives — a TD pass while trailing 30-2 at Tennessee — since taking over for benched starter Blake Bortles two weeks ago.Article continues below ...And it’s far from just QB woes for these struggling offenses. The Redskins (6-7), who have lost four straight since starting quarterback Alex Smith broke his right leg against Houston, also could be without guard Tony Bergstrom (knee/ankle) and their top two receivers. Tight end Jordan Reed (ankle/foot) and Josh Doctson (concussion) missed consecutive practices. Washington already is down both starting guards, Brandon Scherff and Shawn Lauvao.“There are a lot of things when talking about losing a football game,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. “If we had it narrowed down to one thing, we’d fix it and be OK. Sometimes it’s defense http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-tanner-lee-jersey , sometimes it’s offense, sometimes its special teams, sometimes it’s coaching. It’s a combination.“It’s a matter of all of us having to step up in some key players’ absence and playing better. We haven’t done that. We haven’t taken it to the next level of coaching, the next level of playing, the level you have to take it to when you have some injuries and some voids in your offense or defense or what have you.”The Jaguars, who have dropped seven of eight since a 3-1 start, likely will be without four starters along the offensive line. Left tackle Cam Robinson, left guard Andrew Norwell and center Brandon Linder are on injured reserve, and right tackle Jermey Parnell is unlikely to play with a knee injury.Equally troubling for coach Doug Marrone Womens Landry Jones Jersey , whose future with the franchise is unclear, is finding motivation for his players down the stretch in a lost season.“It is obviously a tough situation and you would hope that the love for the game takes over more than anything else,” Marrone said. “You sit there and you say it is your job, it is what you have to do. But there has to be something greater than that.“You have to go out there and play this game like when you were a little kid where no one was watching and no one was around and you were just as competitive and having fun. Those are the things you go through when you have a season like we have, which has been disappointing.”For Washington’s playoff hopes, this is pretty close to a must-win game. And some of it will fall on Johnson, who is 0-5 as a starter and has been with 12 NFL teams. He is the team’s fourth starting quarterback in the last five weeks.“Honestly, to me, that’s the beauty of sports Donte Moncrief Jersey ,” Johnson said. “As a pro athlete, as a kid, you want to be out there. I’ve been a backup for so long I think you understand that having this opportunity is more special than the challenges that are ahead.”Here are some other things to know about the Redskins and Jaguars:HOME FINALEIt’s Jacksonville’s home finale and likely the last home game for several benched starters , including Bortles, defensive tackle Malik Jackson and safety Barry Church. All three are under contract for 2019, but realize their salaries no longer match their reduced roles.IN THE HUNTLosses by Minnesota, Philadelphia and other NFC teams have kept the Redskins on the edge of the postseason picture. There are few signs from the past month that Washington is a playoff team, but players insist they believe.“I feel like everyone in this locker room is optimistic,” tight end Vernon Davis said. “They have good faith and they want to win. If they didn’t want to win http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-a.j.-bouye-jersey , they wouldn’t be here. I think they probably would’ve hung it up, went home, packed their bags. I don’t feel like we have any losers on this team.”BETTER AT HOMEJacksonville has allowed 15.0 points a game at home, the lowest average in the league this season. The Jaguars have given up three touchdowns — all to Pittsburgh — in their last two games at TIAA Bank Field.
