The Philadelphia Eagles may not look very far

when it comes to finding a replacement for departed Vice President of Player Personnel Joe Douglas.According to Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia Corey Graham Jersey , Eagles G.M. Howie Roseman gave indications that Douglas’ replacement could come from within the team’s front office.We’re very fortunate we have a lot of talented people in this building and we prepared for the day we were going to lose someone,” Roseman said Monday. “We certainly did not want to lose Joe. Joe’s just been a great asset to us and a great resource, but we are deep. We are deep in the front office.”Douglas spent the last four-plus years serving as Philadelphia’s Vice President of Player Personnel before being hired by the New York Jets to serve as they next General Manager last week. Douglas could certainly look to build his new staff in New York by poaching some of his former colleagues with the Eagles as well.Andy Weidl has been the Eagles’ Director of Player Personnel the last three seasons and may be the most obvious candidate to assume Douglas’ duties moving forward. I don’t think the Eagles will be beating up on Washington quite that bad but the good guys will start their season off with a win at home.1-0Week 2 - at Atlanta Falcons (Sept. 15, 8:20 PM ET, NBC) Sunday Night FootballThe Eagles are 3-0 in their last three games against the Falcons, all of which took place at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles are 0-2 in their last two games in Atlanta. This could easily be another contest that comes down to the wire. I ultimately like the Eagles’ chances because Jim Schwartz’s defense has done a relatively good job of containing Julio Jones in the past. We already know Doug Pederson can out-coach Bill Belichick but can Carson Wentz out-duel Tom Brady? The Pats enter this game with a rest advantage since they have a bye in Week 10. They’ll publicly downplay wanting revenge in this game but you know deep down they really want this one. Unfortunately, I’m picking the Evil Empire to win this game. It’s OK, though Womens DeSean Jackson Jersey , because the Eagles will beat them again in Super Bowl LIV.6-4Week 12 - vs. Seattle Seahawks (Nov. 24, 8:20 PM ET, NBC) Sunday Night FootballRussell Wilson has completed 60.6% of his attempts for 762 yards (7.7 average), six touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 104.9 passer rating in three career games against the Eagles. Maybe he’ll look more mortal playing at the Linc instead of CenturyLink but I’ll believe it when I see it. Eagles lose this game.6-5Week 13 - at Miami Dolphins (Dec. 1, 1:00 PM ET, FOX)Potentially facing Ryan Fitzpatrick makes me nervous after seeing him shred the Eagles’ secondary in Week 2 last year. This Dolphins team isn’t very good, though, and they’re actively tanking for a good pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In the least anticipated matchup on Philly’s schedule, the Eagles cruise to a win.7-5Week 14 - vs. New York Giants (Dec. 9, 8:15 PM ET Cameron Johnston Jersey , ESPN) Monday Night FootballThe stat that perfectly sums up the Eagles’ lasting dominance over the Giants: Donovan McNabb has as many wins (4-0) in the last 22 Philly vs. New York games as Eli Manning (4-18). I don’t know why anyone would take a 38-year-old, washed up Manning to beat the Eagles. This is going to be the game where, for the time in NFL history, the Eagles will take the lead in their all-time series against the Giants. The record is currently tied at 86-86-2.8-5Week 15 - at Washington Redskins (Dec. 15, 1:00 PM ET, FOX)at Washington Redskins - Again, I think Washington can be competitive. They have some solid pieces on their roster and there are much worse coaches than Jay Gruden. But I just can’t pick Keenum to beat the Eagles in front of a midnight green crowd that invades FedEx Field once again.9-5Week 16 - vs. Dallas Cowboys (Dec. 22, 4:25 PM ET, FOX)For some reason, the Eagles just don’t play well against the Cowboys vs. Dallas Cowboys Ever since 44 to 6 happened in 2008, Dallas is 8-2 in games played at Lincoln Financial Field. In fairness, two of those Cowboys wins were Week 17 games in which the Eagles were resting starters. But one of the Eagles’ only two wins in the last 10 games was alsoa Week 17 contest where Dallas was resting players. I’m going to go against history here and say the Eagles are due for a home win against their biggest NFC East rival. Dak Prescott throws a red zone pick-six late in the game to lead to a division-clinching win. Lito Sheppard redux.10-5Week 17 - at New York Giants (Dec. 29 http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-paul-worrilow-jersey , 1:00 PM ET, FOX)This game could potentially be meaningless for the Eagles if they already have their playoff positioning locked up. If the Eagles need to win this game, they will certainly find a way to beat Manning and Pat Shurmur. One of the least threatening quarterback and head coach combinations in the NFL. If the Eagles rest their starters, well, I think Nate Sudfeld might still be able to beat the G-Men?11-5...Final record: 11-5I think the Eagles are looking at a floor of 9-7 and a ceiling of 12-4. Of course, that range assumes Carson Wentz stays healthy. There’s potential for things to go south quickly if he’s hurt once again unless Nate Sudfeld is the second coming of Nick Foles.As stated ad nauseam, the feeling here is that Wentz is poised for a bounce back year. We all saw how special he was after having a full offseason to prepare for 2017. Wentz has made a habit out of proving his doubters wrong and he could easily do it once again this year.Aside from Wentz, the Eagles still have one of the best head coaches in the league in Pederson. Schwartz’s defense, at the very least, should be good enough to not be a liability. Howie Roseman has assembled a lot of talent on this roster.There hasn’t been a repeat winner in the NFC East the Eagles did it in 2004. I don’t think the Cowboys are going to break that streak this season. Instead, it’ll be the Eagles who reclaim the throne in advance of making another playoff run.
